Frequently asked

Start here.

Which devices are supported?+

Bubble Level is designed for iPhone and requires iOS 17 or later. Measurement quality depends on the motion sensors in your specific device.

Which measurement modes are included?+

Edge is for horizontal and vertical alignment, Surface provides a two-axis bullseye, and Angle works as an inclinometer for slopes and custom targets.

How does the free session work?+

You can use the complete app for one full measurement session. After that session, Bubble Level offers a single lifetime unlock. There is no recurring plan.

Is there a subscription or advertising?+

No. Bubble Level has no weekly, monthly or annual subscription and does not display ads. The full version is unlocked with one lifetime purchase.

Does Bubble Level work offline?+

Yes. Measurement and calibration do not require an internet connection. A connection is needed for App Store pricing, purchasing or restoring a purchase, and limited analytics events are sent when connectivity is available.

How do I calibrate the app?+

Open Calibration and follow the guided two-position process. Place the iPhone as shown, capture the first reading, rotate it by 180 degrees, and capture the second. The offset is then stored on your device.

Should I calibrate before the first measurement?+

Yes. The first-use flow helps you check the measuring edges and guides you through calibration before your first job. You can repeat it whenever you change your case or notice inconsistent readings.

Can I use Bubble Level with a phone case?+

Yes, but the shape of a case or camera bump can affect how the iPhone rests on a surface. For consistent results, calibrate and measure with the same case configuration.

What are Relative Zero, Target Angle and Hold?+

Relative Zero treats the current angle as your new zero. Target Angle helps you align to a chosen angle. Hold freezes the current reading so you can move the phone and review it afterward.

How accurate is the app?+

Results depend on iPhone sensors, calibration, placement, the case and the measured surface. Keep the device stable and use guided calibration for consistency. Bubble Level is not a certified instrument; independently verify safety-critical or professional work.

How do I restore my purchase?+

Choose Restore Purchases in the app while signed in with the Apple Account originally used to buy the lifetime unlock.

How do I request a refund?+

Apple processes all purchases and determines refund eligibility. Submit a request at reportaproblem.apple.com. Open Apple’s refund service →
