Privacy Policy

1. Measurements and calibration

Bubble Level uses Apple’s Core Motion framework to calculate device orientation, angles and calibration values.

Raw motion readings, measured angles and calibration offsets are processed on your device. We do not transmit them to our servers or to TelemetryDeck. Calibration settings and app preferences may remain on your device until you reset them or remove the app, subject to Apple’s device backup and restore behavior.

2. Privacy-conscious product analytics

We use TelemetryDeck to understand whether the app works as intended and where its experience can be improved. The app may send limited events such as:

• onboarding or accuracy-guide steps completed or skipped;
• measurement modes and calibration features used;
• whether the free session started or the paywall was viewed; and
• coarse purchase or restore states, such as started, completed, cancelled, pending or failed.

TelemetryDeck may attach technical context such as app and operating-system versions, device type, locale, an hour-level timestamp and an anonymized app-installation identifier.

We do not send TelemetryDeck raw angles, motion readings, calibration offsets, Apple transaction identifiers, exact product prices, names, email addresses, contact details or advertising identifiers.

Analytics is not used for advertising, cross-app tracking or selling information. TelemetryDeck states that it anonymizes identifiers before processing, does not store IP addresses and hosts its analytics infrastructure in the European Union. Learn more in TelemetryDeck’s Privacy FAQ.

3. Purchases

Bubble Level uses Apple StoreKit for its one-time lifetime unlock. Apple processes payment credentials, billing information, transaction records, refunds and App Store entitlements under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

The app receives only the product and entitlement information needed to display the offer, complete or restore a purchase and unlock access. We do not receive your payment-card details.

4. Support communications

If you email us, we process the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message and attachments. We use it to answer your request, provide support, protect legal rights or comply with applicable law. Please avoid including sensitive information unless it is necessary.

5. Website information

This website does not use advertising pixels or our own audience analytics. Like most hosting services, our infrastructure providers may process basic request and security logs—such as IP address, browser type, requested page and request time—to deliver, protect and troubleshoot the site. We use this information only where necessary for reliable and secure operation.

6. Purposes and legal bases

Where applicable, we process information to provide and maintain the app, remember local settings, understand reliability and feature use, complete or restore StoreKit entitlements, respond to support, meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.

Depending on the circumstances, the legal basis is performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in operating and improving Bubble Level while minimizing privacy impact.

7. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Information may be handled by:

• TelemetryDeck GmbH, for privacy-conscious product analytics;
• Apple, for App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases, entitlements and refunds;
• our website and email infrastructure providers, to deliver and protect those services; and
• authorities or professional advisers where reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect legal rights.

8. International processing

TelemetryDeck states that its app-analytics infrastructure is hosted in the European Union. Apple and other service providers may process information in other countries under their own privacy safeguards and applicable transfer mechanisms.

9. Retention

Local calibration and preferences remain on the device until reset, removed or affected by Apple backup and restore. Analytics is kept only while reasonably useful for understanding onboarding, feature performance and reliability, after which it may be deleted or aggregated; timing also depends on our active provider configuration and backup processes.

Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain appropriate records, handle disputes or meet legal obligations. Purchase and refund records are retained by Apple under Apple’s policies.

10. Your rights

If the GDPR or similar law applies, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data; restrict or object to processing; request portability where applicable; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and complain to a supervisory authority.

In Spain, the supervisory authority is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos. Because Bubble Level has no account and analytics is designed not to identify people, we may be unable to connect an analytics record to your name or email. We will explain this and honor requests wherever the relevant information can reasonably be identified.

11. Children

Bubble Level is a general-purpose utility. It does not require an account or intentionally request a child’s name, contact details or location.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the limited information processed. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

13. Changes

We may update this policy when the app, its providers or legal requirements change. The current version will always show its effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
